Those who do not have registered mobile numbers, here are the step by step details of how they can correct Aadhar.

This must be done through offline, since you have not registered the mobile number with Aadhar to receive the OTP.

Follow this step to correct Aadhar without mobile number-

• Go to the nearest Aadhar Center and obtain the Aadhar Card correction form.
• Fill the form carefully and submit it along with a copy of your Aadhar Card and other identity proof such as PAN, Passport, etc. You will be asked to attach the supporting document which you want to correct along with the Application form.
• You will also be asked to give the required biometric details verification such as thumb impression and Retina Scan etc.
• An Acknowledgement slip will be provided to you and your details will be updated within a week.

How to Correct Aadhar With Registered Mobile Number

Usually a person can update any details in Aadhar such as Name, Date of Birth, Address, etc online with Registered mobile number. You can follow these steps to update or correct your Aadhar online.

1. Visit the official website of “Aadhar Self Service Update Portal” and click on “Update your Aadhar Online”.
2. If you wish to update the address, click on Proceed to Update Address.
3. In this step, you need to enter your 12-digits Aadhar Number and click on Send OTP or Enter the OTP.
4. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number which is registered in the Aadhar database.
5. Enter the OTP which you received on the registered mobile number. Alternatively, you can use the TOPT features to Authenticate.
6. Select either the “Update Address by Address Proof” option or “Update Address Via Secret Code” option.
7. Enter your residential address mentioned in the proof of address and click on the preview button.
8. If you wish to modify your address, click on the “Modify” option, then tick the declaration and click on the “Submit” button.
9. In this step, select the document type which you want to submit as a PoA for verification and upload the scanned copy of address proof and click on the “Submit” button.
10. Now, Your Aadhar update request will be accepted and a 14-digits URN will be generated.
11. Keep this URN to check the status of your application.
