Bihar government has decided to provide free electric cycles to 10 thousand divyang under the ‘Bihar Free Electric Cycle Yojana 2022’.
Under the Bihar Free Electric Cycle Yojana, the state government will provide free electric cycles to 1,000 divyangjan. The scheme is being implemented with an aim to promote sustainable and environment-friendly transport in the state.
The eligible divyangjan will be selected through a lottery system. The selected beneficiaries will be given an electric cycle, free of cost. They will also be provided with a maintenance subsidy of Rs. 500 per year for three years.
